About this Trail: This trail is great for the family.
Easily accessible when there is no snow on the road. From Smithers travel northwest on Highway 16 to Lake Kathlyn road, turn left, following Lake Kathlyn road for just over 2km, at which point you turn left on Glacier Gulch Road. Follow Glacier Gulch Road to about 1700meters, here the road turn right but you go straight. Here is turn to gravel and in the winter months require chains, if accessible at all. Last 2km is gravel and narrow. Parking is next to camping and day use area, with 2 outhouses not far at all.
From the parking area there is a short trail to the left arm of the Glacier Gluch creek. Following the main trail towards the fall will bring you to an information board. The trail marked 'viewing platform' is an easy hike with a slight incline. The view at the platform in great, a nice place to rest. A little further along the trail will take you to a picnic table and a plaque on the rock. If you are feeling adventurous you can climb along the fissure in the rocks to access a trail a little higher up. This trail will take you to the bottom of the left waterfall. Use your discretion as to how close to get. Getting close enough to feel the spray, will leave you feeling charged!
